They say the best things in life are free. But there’s no such thing as a free lunch either. In keeping with the (perfectly coherent) wisdom these two ancient proverbs impart, despite having to charge a small fee for tickets to the 2012 Shotties screening event held at the Labia Theatre in May, here on this very page, we have recreated the entire experience for those who didn’t get the chance, or have the R30 bucks necessary, to see the films on the big screen.
Our campus TV show, You See TV has prepared a special feature on the story of this year’s Shotties Short Film competition, check it out below:
Now that you’ve seen what was involved, you can use this embedded playlist to watch all sixteen films screened on the night, if you so wish, or have your pick on our YouTube Channel. Use the 2012 Shotties Programme to help you pick what to watch, and read about the winning films here>>
Be sure to leave us your comments and vote for your favourite films in our poll at right.
